What is Intensive Outpatient Program with Domicile (IOPD)?
PNLH’s Intensive Outpatient Program with Domicile (IOPD) is one of the first programs of its kind in Michigan, offering structured, comprehensive care for individuals recovering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.
This program includes:
- 4.5 hours of group therapy per day, five days a week
- Weekly individual therapy sessions with a licensed master’s-level clinician
- Supportive services such as case management and peer recovery coaching
Clients enrolled in IOPD also have access to PNLH recovery housing, which provides a safe and supportive living environment during treatment. Transportation is provided via our shuttle service to and from our clinical offices, ensuring easy access to care.
Whether you are early in your recovery journey or stepping down from a higher level of care, our IOPD offers a flexible, evidence-based treatment option tailored to your needs.
PNLH integrates addiction treatment, mental health counseling, and housing support to create a path toward lasting wellness.
Where Will I Be Staying?
What to Expect: Treatment Space & Housing
Our Intensive Outpatient Program with Domicile (IOPD) is based in the heart of downtown Plymouth, within walking distance of local parks, coffee shops, and community spaces. The clinical building spans over 7,500 square feet and features multiple group therapy rooms, private counseling offices, and welcoming communal areas designed to support healing and recovery.
Please note: no one resides at the clinical office. All housing accommodations are located off-site in fully furnished apartments nearby.
Supportive Recovery Housing
IOPD participants live in PNLH-provided recovery housing, typically spacious 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartments, with a maximum of four residents per unit (two individuals per bedroom). We do not use bunk beds, and we prioritize comfort, safety, and personal space.
Each apartment includes:
- Comfortable furnishings and beds
- Kitchen stocked with cooking and dining essentials
- Linens, towels, pillows, toilet paper, and paper towels provided by PNLH
- A supportive, shared-living environment designed to promote recovery
We strive to maintain a healing, home-like atmosphere where participants can rest, reflect, and rebuild while actively engaging in treatment. Our housing is located close to our clinical offices, and transportation is provided daily for IOPD services.
