20 Year Anniversary for PNLH!

Amazing that time has flown so fast that PNLH is now 20 years old!  Through the years, PNLH has served over 6,000 clients across southeastern Michigan.  To celebrate, PNLH hosted a anniversary picnic in August and invited all staff, clients and alumni of PNLH.  We celebrated with good food, good people and live music from our own therapist,  Sarah Grogan.  A good time was had by all.  Below are some pictures of the event.

Service Excellence Award and  Spirit of Recovery Award:

PNLH was honored at the State Substance Abuse Conference (September 2009) as it was nominated for Service Excellence Award by one of our funding sources.  While we did not receive the award, we were grateful for the recognition of the hard work and efforts of PNLH’s employees to improve the lives of the persons we serve.

PNLH nominated one of its own clinicians, Rosemary Pomaranski, for the “Spirit of Recovery Award” given to someone who is in recovery and through their life’s work, has made a significant impact in the field of addiction treatment.  Rose won the award and was presented with a plaque in front of the 1300 attendees of the conference.  Rose provided a speech for the attendees that was simply excellent.  (We’ve posted the video on PNLH’s web site if you are interested in seeing her speech).  Pictured below are: John Andrews who presented the award, and fellow staff members (from left to right, Beverly Chisholm, Joseph Paliwoda, Teri Baker, and of course, Rose holding her award).
